21011. NEHHDC partners with tech start-up to transform handloom, craft sector in NE
- North East Handloom and Handicraft Development Corporation signed an MoU with KOSHA, an award-winning technology start-up to transform the handloom sector in the Northeast region.
- The agreement has been recently signed between Brigadier Rajiv Kumar Singh (Retd), Managing Director of NEHHDC and Vijaya Krishnappa, co-founder and the CEO of KOSHA. As per the MoU, KOSHA will support NEHHDC in increasing demand for genuine handicraft and handloom products of Northeast by way of brand building, using technology for authentication and traceability.
- KOSHA has developed proprietary and innovative solutions leveraging IoT (Internet of Things), BlockChain, Artificial Intelligence and Cloud computing. The solutions can be used to determine the authenticity of handloom and crafts and also manage the supply chain. Consumers while buying the products can check the authenticity of the product with their smartphone without a need to have any special application.

21012. Gama irradiation facility to be established in Ladakh to preserve fruit, vegetables: Jitendra Singh
- The department of atomic energy will set up Gamma Irradiation Technology in the cold desert region of Ladakh for preservation and shelf life extension of fruits and vegetables.
- Ladakh for the first time this season exported huge quantity of Apricot to Dubai. Apple was also dispatched to various cities within the country. Dr Jitendra Singh appreciated Ladakh Administration’s decision to start the commercial plantation of “Leh Berry” from April-May this year.
- Dr Jitendra Singh said that local entrepreneurs will be provided gainful employment through farming, processing and marketing of about 100 odd products from seabuckthorn plant like jams, juices, herbal tea, vitamin C supplements, healthy drinks, cream, oils, and soaps in a completely organic manner.
21013. J&K LG inaugurates 22 power transmission, distribution projects
- Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday inaugurated 22 power transmission and distribution projects costing Rs 216 crore at Samba,
- He said that J&K's power infrastructure, which remained dilapidated for the last several decades, is being transformed at a fast pace.
- "This development represents a giant stride in capacity augmentation and improvement in power supply to consumers of Jammu, Samba, Hiranagar, Kathua, Udhampur, and adjoining areas. The new power projects will meet the power supply demand of the citizens as well as the industrial sector,"
21014. PM Modi To Preside Launch Of Industrial Investment In Jammu And Kashmir In March: LG Manoj Sinha
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will preside over the groundbreaking ceremony of the launch of industrial investments worth 20,000 to 25,000 crore rupees here next month, Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha said on 15th FEb 2022.
- He sought cooperation of the people to the efforts of his administration to usher a new dawn of peace, prosperity and development under the leadership of Modi in the Union Territory
- Sinha was speaking at a function organized at Bajalta here to inaugurate 20 power projects completed at a cost of Rs 48 crore to provide better power supply to consumers in five districts of Jammu, Udhampur, Poonch, Rajouri and Reasi districts. He said within the next one-and-a-half-year, two major projects will be completed to make Jammu and Kashmir self-reliant in the power sector.
21015. अंतरिक्ष में जीव विज्ञान संबंधी उपकरण का निर्माण, सूक्ष्मजीवों को विकसित करने में होगा मददगार
- ISRO और IISC ने अंतरिक्ष में जीव विज्ञान संबंधी एक उपकरण को विकसित किया है। इस उपकरण के जरिये बाह्य अंतरिक्ष में विज्ञानी प्रयोग कर सकेंगे।
- IISC और ISRO के दल द्वारा तैयार किए गए उपकरण में जीवाणु विकास पर नजर रखने के लिए एलइडी और फोटोडायोड सेंसर है।
- जो सूक्ष्मजीवों को विकसित करने में मददगार होगा। इस उपकरण की मदद से विज्ञानी बाह्य अंतरिक्ष में जीव विज्ञान संबंधी प्रयोग करने में सक्षम हो सकेंगे।
21016. ISRO to collaborate with two startups: With public-private partnerships, India's space sector leaps forward
- ISRO has signed agreements with two space startups – Skyroot and Agnikul – to build rockets and launch vehicles, allowing the two companies access to ISRO's state-of-the-art facilities.
- These agreements have been drafted after careful examination of what these companies are doing. This is only the beginning and we will see a lot more from the private enterprises in the coming months.
- Agnikul can now, reportedly, test its single piece 3D-printed semi-cryo engine (along with other systems) while Skyroot can further its launch vehicle development programme.
21017. Anti-tank missile completes all trials
- The helicopter-launched Nag Anti-Tank Guided Missile (ATGM), Helina, being developed indigenously, has completed all trials and the process for issuing of Acceptance of Necessity (AoN) by the Army has started.
- Each missile is expected to cost under ₹1 crore and initially around 500 missiles and 40 launchers will be required.
- Helina is a third generation fire and forget class ATGM mounted on an indigenous Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) and has a minimum range of 500 m and a maximum range of 7 km.
21018. ISRO's Aditya L1 Mission Prep Has Scientists Studying Solar Storms, Sun's CMEs
- A team of astronomers from the Indian Institute of Astrophysics have now shed light on how conditions and events in the Sun’s atmosphere such as CMEs (coronal mass ejections) affect the accuracy of space weather prediction.
- This study be helpful for the upcoming Aditya L1 mission that’ll be launched by the Indian Space Research Organisation to help us better understand the Sun and its behaviour.
- The research is based on the study of observations of Interplanetary CME structures that were spotted throughout the year 2011.

21019. Civil Aviation Minister virtually flags off 6 routes expanding aerial connectivity in North East region
- Minister of Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia today virtually flagged off six routes expanding the aerial connectivity of North-East India.
- These routes are Kolkata to Guwahati, Guwahati to Aizawl, Aizawl to Shillong, Shillong to Aizawl, Aizawl to Guwahati and Guwahati to Kolkata.
- Ministry of Civil Aviation has said that flight connectivity on these routes was a long-pending demand of the natives of the regions.

21020. क्रायोजेनिक इंजन धवन -1 का सफल परीक्षण , कर देगा रॉकेट परीक्षण को 40 फीसदी तक सस्ता
- निजी तौर पर निर्मित क्रायोजेनिक इंजन #039;धवन-1#039; का सफल परीक्षण किया गया। देश के पहले निजी तौर पर निर्मित, 3डी प्रिंटेड, पूरी तरह से क्रायोजेनिक इंजन का नागपुर में सफल परीक्षण किया गया है। इस इंजन का नाम DHAWAN-1 है और यह इंजन 100% 3D प्रिंटेड और पूरी तरह से भारत में निर्मित है।
- क्रायोजेनिक इंजन को हैदराबाद स्थित स्काईरूट एयरोस्पेस प्राइवेट लिमिटेड द्वारा विकसित किया गया है। इस इंजन में ईंधन के रूप में एलएनजी का उपयोग किया जाता है। कंपनी का दावा है कि एलएनजी के इस्तेमाल से रॉकेट लॉन्च करते समय पर्यावरण को होने वाले नुकसान में कमी आएगी और ईंधन की लागत में भी 40 फीसदी की बचत होगी।
- धवन-1 इंजन को बनाने मे सुपरएलॉय और 3 डी प्रिंटिंग तकनीकी का प्रयोग हुआ जिससे निर्माण समय 95 % से भी कम हो गया। जिसवजह से लागत मे भी भरी कमी आएगी।
